THE 4 LEADING ORGANISATIONS FOR THIS YEAR’S RCOY :

MYNC : The Moroccan Youth Negotiators Council is a space uniting Moroccan youth and representing their voice in national and global climate advocacy. It works on empowering young Moroccans on climate policy and advocacy and providing them spaces to take part in national policy and negotiation discussions. It also unites and captures the voice of young Moroccans on climate and offers a space for them to exchange and lead from each other.

AYICC:  The African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC) is a network for African youth organizations, university groups, rural youth groups, schools, and individuals. It aims to build capacity and partnerships among African youth to combat climate change. Founded at the 2006 UNFCCC COP12 in Nairobi, AYICC ensures African youth participate in climate change negotiations. It includes over 45 country chapters and more than 30,000 members working on climate and sustainable development across Africa.

AfricanID-FGSES : AfricanID FGSES is a cultural club that promotes unity and diversity as non-conflicting components and aims to provide a safe environment to learn, discuss, and most importantly, discover diverse African cultures. From conflict resolution to environmental action, AfricanID aims to address various issues affecting Africa and shape a positive narrative around the continent.

IAAS : The International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences Morocco is a network of students and young professionals committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, food security, and rural development. With a strong global presence, IAAS brings valuable perspectives, expertise, and initiatives to address climate-related challenges in agriculture and rural communities.

CO-HOST ORGANIZATIONS

GAYO : Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) is a youth-led advocacy group based in Ghana. It is a youth-led gender-balanced advocacy group that focuses largely on environmental sustainability and community development.

AYM4COP : Africa Youth Mobilisation for COP is a YOUNGO campaign that seeks to mobilise African Youth towards the UNFCCC Conference of Parties (COP), Subsidiary Body Meetings (SBs), and Conference of Youth (COY) which are key events that shape the international climate change policy discussions.

AFRICA CLIMATE ACTIVISTS (AFRICLIMACTIV) : AfriClimActiv seek to raise climate awareness and change negative attitude and practices, fight climate change by nature based solutions, especially tree planting. Their vision is to create a sustainable future for Africa by addressing the urgent issue of climate change through nature based solutions.

GREEN THINKERS : As a Supportive Organisation, Green Thinkers aim to create positive change in communities through integrated projects on climate change, poverty alleviation, youth empowerment, and environmental conservation. They empower vulnerable groups through education, advocacy, and practical initiatives.
